Western Australia’s (WA) Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation drives the creation of local jobs and a stronger, more diverse economy in WA.
The Western Australian Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation delivers initiatives on behalf of the WA Government that support the full spectrum of economic activity in WA – from large-scale mining and industrial operations, to innovate startups and small to medium businesses across the state.
It promotes the state nationally and internationally to increase trade and attract investment through Invest and Trade WA, while creating awareness of WA as a destination of choice to visit, live, work and study.
The department fosters the State’s leading science, research and innovation sectors to build a technologically advanced and prosperous future for all Western Australians, while building a network to support collaboration opportunities with international partners.
With Invest and Trade WA offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, WA’s relationship with Vietnam is supported by a Memorandum of Understanding between the State of Western Australia and Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, which has a focus on partnerships and collaborations in economic development, culture and the arts, and education.
