A cooperation agreement has been signed on the establishment of The Vietnam – Australia Centre, a joint project between The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

The Centre will help Vietnam take advantage of Australia’s expertise and experience in training, researching and capacity building, and assist Vietnamese leaders and managers in meeting the country’s integration and development demands.

Australia’s Ambassador to Vietnam, HE Robyn Mudie, said “Australia is very pleased to be able to support Vietnam’s endeavours towards becoming a high-income country by 2045. One way of achieving this goal is through the establishment of a vibrant and dynamic centre which serves as a platform to promote knowledge sharing and innovation between Vietnam and Australia.”

The AVPI congratulates both HCMA and DFAT on the project and we look forward to collaborating with them in future to continue strengthening people-to-people links and cooperation between our two countries.

The Vietnam Australia Centre is actively searching for an International Director to be based in Hanoi, Vietnam. We encourage our community to look into this fantastic opportunity and join another organisation working to strengthen the strategic partnership between Australia and Vietnam.
