The official Melbourne celebration for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and Vietnam was hosted at RMIT University on 28th April.
Hosted by the RMIT Asia Trade and Innovation Hub (ATIH), together with the Australia Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI), Asia Society Australia, Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Victorian Government, the ATIH welcomed guests to RMIT University to join in reflecting on our 50 years of shared history, and connect around the growing opportunity for deeper bilateral engagement between Australia and Vietnam.
Remarks from Senator the Hon Tim Ayres, Assistant Minister for Trade and Assistant Minister for Manufacturing, and His Excellency Mr Thanh Nguyen, Vietnam’s Ambassador to Australia spoke to the significance of the milestone and celebrated the role Victoria has played in strengthening the bilateral partnership.
