AVPI Founding Partner, RMIT University and AVPI Knowledge Partner, Perth USAsia Centre are pleased to invite our AVPI network to a public keynote address and in-conversation with Professor Alec Cameron, Vice-Chancellor and President of RMIT University

Over the past fifty years of diplomatic relations, the relationship between Australia and Vietnam has grown immensely. With work underway to elevate the relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, there is ample opportunity for the two nations to strengthen bilateral relations further, especially through education.

Professor Cameron will share insights from RMIT’s more-than-20 years of operations in Vietnam, and the University’s active and longstanding role contributing to communities across Southeast Asia as part of Australia’s broader soft power efforts.

Following his address, Christian Bien, co-founder and CEO of educational charity Elucidate Education and 2023 Australia-Vietnam Young Leadership Dialogue Delegate, and Hang Nguyen, RMIT Vietnam alumna and education advocate, will join Professor Cameron in conversation to discuss improving Australia-Vietnam links to foster further educational opportunities in Australia.
