The Smart and Sustainable Cities Forum held on 24 November 2021 provided a platform to discuss critical issues related to urban smart and sustainable development in Vietnam.

The Forum explored concepts, innovations and technologies that are in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 11: “Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustianable”.

A diverse range of guest speakers across key industry segments, public sector organisations and local / international NGOs shared best practices and knowledge critical for Vietnam’s developing cities. Discussions included an examination of Information & Communication Technologies (ICTs) and advancements in energy generation to improve living standards in the present while enuring the needs of future generations are not impacted negatively in respect to the triple-bottom line of the economy, social and environment. The event also provided an opportunitity for inter-industry and inter-disciplinary networking and showcased innovators and entrepreneurs working in the sustainability space and their solutions.
