The Australia Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI), in collaboration with RMIT University's Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CCSRI), hosted this event on 9 October 2023.

The AVPI together with the RMIT Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CCSRI), hosted an event focused on the cybersecurity landscape in Vietnam. The event welcomed a delegation of cybersecurity experts from Vietnam and brought together industry professionals, academics, and researchers.

Tuan Anh, Vice Chair of the Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA), presented and provided insights into the cybersecurity landscape in Vietnam. Following the presentation, a panel discussion was conducted to explore the challenges of navigating the cybersecurity landscape in Vietnam. This discussion included insights from security experts based in Vietnam. They reflected on the reasons behind security risks in Vietnam and considered how Australia can contribute to the development of enhanced security practices.

This event is part of AVPI and RMIT CCSRI’s ongoing work to unpack the security landscape in Vietnam. In the upcoming month, an AVPI Policy Brief that delves deeper into the importance of enhancing cybersecurity awareness and capacity development among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam will be released.
