Australia and Vietnam have laid out an ambitious pathway to success for digital economy cooperation under the Australia-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. How can businesses and governments across both countries harness these opportunities and help bridge digital divides?

The inaugural Australia Vietnam Policy Institute Forum 2025 was held on Thursday, 11 September 2025, in Hanoi. 

The AVPI Vietnam Forum 2025 brought together leaders from government, business, academia, and the non-profit sector to share their insights on new avenues for collaboration in the rapidly growing digital economy sector.

Driven by the AVPI’s mission to support Vietnam’s economic growth and its transition towards a more inclusive, resilient, prosperous and modern economy, the AVPI Forum 2025 spotlighted Vietnam’s economic agenda, highlighted opportunities for bilateral trade and investment, and identified the reforms needed to deliver a more competitive business environment in Vietnam.

The Forum is an in-person event held at the AVPI's partner's location the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Please note that there is no virtual attendance option for this Forum as it is an opportunity for attendees to build people-to-people connections.
Is the Forum free to attend? plus minuse
The Forum is supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. In its inaugural year, the Forum is free of charge. Taking place in Hanoi in its first year, the Forum will be hosted in Ho Chi Minh City in 2026.

The Forum will commence with a welcome lunch and conclude with networking drinks.
