Vietnamese PM Pham Minh Chinh has welcomed the AVPI and its initiatives in discussions with AVPI Founding Partner RMIT University earlier this month.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Professor Alec Cameron and Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Ms Robyn Mudie on 7 April 2022 in Hanoi. The Vietnamese Prime Minister acknowledged AVPI Founding Partner, RMIT University as the leading foreign investor in education in Vietnam and vivid symbol of Vietnam-Australia cooperation in education-training and people-to-people exchange.

The PM Pham Minh Chinh spoke of the thriving Australia-Vietnam strategic relationship and how RMIT is committed to the partnership and supporting Vietnam and its people. Prof Alec Cameron took the opportunity to discuss the work RMIT and its partners are achieving as part of the Australia Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI), and what it’s doing to raise awareness about Vietnam and the opportunities in Australia.

The AVPI and its initiatives were welcomed by PM Pham Minh Chinh, Minister for Planning and Investment, the Hon Nguyen Chi Dung and the broader Vietnamese Government. The AVPI looks forward to working with the Vietnamese Government in future to further advance the Australia Vietnam strategic partnership.
